How to plan a safari in 9 simple steps!

STEP 1: Decide on what you would like to see

• Is there a specific type of animal you are hoping to see?

• Do you want to see the Big 5 or the Great Migration?

• Are there any particular parks that you would like to visit?

STEP 2: Decide the time of year you think you may like to visit

• Do you want to travel in the high season?

• Are you restricted by certain holidays or vacation time?

STEP 3: Decide on your budget for the trip

• Don't forget to budget for flights, visas & any vaccinations or medication you may need!

STEP 5: Contact three different companies to obtain quotes, outlining:

• Rough dates for your trip

• What you hope to see (wildlife and certain parks)

• The time of year you would like to visit

• Your budget

• Ask to see any licenses or accreditations they may have

STEP 6: When you have received a reply, compare all the safari company prices/ itineraries & accommodation options. Make sure you are happy with the info they have provided.
