This 4.2 mile out and back trail brings you to the beautiful Tanalian Falls in Lake Clark National Park - one of the largest waterfalls we've been to in Alaska. It gains about 780 feet of elevation, so it's a good hike. At the falls, you can go fishing for arctic grayling, hike to the top, or enjoy a picnic on the small beach - just make sure to pack out everything you brought with you! This area also has plenty of wildlife like bears, so I highly recommend bringing some bear spray with you. If you want, you can head out even further to Tanalian Lake.
