Historical tunnels for outdoor exploration

The Othello Tunnels in Coquihalla Canyon Park are a series of five tunnels built in 1914 as part of the Canadian Pacific Railway. Named after Shakespearean characters by the railway's chief engineer, Andrew McCulloch, these tunnels cut through solid granite in a 300ft-deep gorge. Visitors can walk or cycle through the tunnels on a flat gravel trail, but make sure to bring a flashlight for those dark stretches! The tunnels are closed in winter due to safety concerns, so plan your visit between April and October for a cool historical adventure.
