Staubifall, also referred to as Stäubenfall, is a stunning 180-metre waterfall located near Unterschächen in the canton of Uri, Switzerland. Nestled within the picturesque Klausenpass region, this picturesque spot offers a breathtaking sight that's worth the 6-7 kilometre hike.

The best time to visit is early to mid-summer when the glacier-fed waterfall is at its most powerful. Don't forget your camera and some rain gear, just in case the weather decides to surprise you!

By Car: Drive along Route 17 through the Klausenpass. The falls can be seen from the road, and there’s a dedicated observation deck near Äsch (GPS: 46.871317, 8.821502). It’s best to visit in the afternoon to avoid glare from the morning sun.

By Public Transport: Take a train to Altdorf, then a bus towards Unterschächen. From there, you can hike to the waterfall or take a cable car from the Ribi-Wannelen station during summer months for a scenic ride.

Hiking Trails: The area offers multiple trails that vary in difficulty. A popular route begins at the Ribi-Wannelen cable car station, leading to Oberalp and then down to the waterfall. This hike features lush pastures, alpine streams, and forested clearings for picnics.

Klausenpass Drive: The drive itself is an attraction, offering stunning views of alpine landscapes and additional waterfalls, such as Berglistüber, where you can walk behind the cascading water.
