Gortin Glen Lakes is a charming spot in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. This beautiful park consists of two lakes located in the middle of Sperrins Mountains.
You can explore the lakes with a leisurely 1km walking trail around them. The lakes offer stunning views of the mountains and also provide a peaceful atmosphere filled with lush vegetation and wildflowers.
🧺The Gortin Glen lakes is one of my favourite picnic spots! You can take a break on one of the benches provided.
There's also a nearby ruined castle from the 14th century known as Harry Avery's Castle which provides a glimpse into the region's medieval history. Gortin Glen Lakes enables you to immerse in the beauty of Northern Ireland's natural landscape and take in its unique charm.
Gortin Glen Lakes attract a variety of wildlife, including birds, waterfowl, and sometimes wild deer.
