On your first evening in Glasgow, head into the West End on an 8 minute Subway from the centre of town (Buchannan Street/ St Enoch station) to Hillhead Subway Station.

From here take a 2-minute walk into Ashton Lane where you will see a beautiful, lit up street with lot's of quirky bars and restaraunts for you to take a look at. Grab a drink, or some food!

Then, take another 5 minute walk down Byres Road to Hillhead book club and Oran Mor. Even if you don't like alcohol, both of these pubs have a spectacular Scottish vibe.
