Balmoral Castle is a grand estate house in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, where the British royal family likes to hang out. It was bought by Prince Albert and Queen Victoria in 1852 because they needed more space for their growing family and entourage. The old castle was too small, so they commissioned a new one, which was completed in 1856. The place is massive, covering around 50,000 acres of land with all sorts of cool stuff like grouse moors, forests, and herds of deer and ponies. It's basically a fancy summer retreat where the royals can chill and enjoy the Scottish countryside.
