This place in Kitakyushu is basically a floral Disneyland, only instead of rides, you get two mesmerizing tunnels of wisteria, each dangling with flowers in hues of purple you didn't know existed. It's the kind of place where you'd want to capture every moment for your daughter, who's all about that wisteria life, but alas, we were there at the wrong time.
The garden turns into this magical wonderland from late April to early May, but since we didn't sync our calendars with Mother Nature, we missed the party. It's like planning a beach vacation during monsoon season - you get the idea but not the experience. Next time, we'll have to plan better, or maybe just enjoy Japan's other endless attractions, because not catching this floral spectacle was a bummer, but hey, there's always more to explore.
