Cummings Monument Lookout – this place is absolutely wild. Standing up there, looking down at the cliffs and the powerful Southern Ocean smashing into them, you get that same edge-of-the-world feeling as the Nullarbor cliffs—proper jaw-dropping.
The history here is fascinating but hectic—a shipwreck went down in these waters, and honestly, when you see the size of the swell and the sheer cliffs, it's almost impossible to believe anyone could have survived it. Makes you really appreciate how intense the conditions can be along this coastline.
It’s an easy stop off the highway and 100% worth it for the views alone. The wind can be absolutely feral, so bring a jacket and watch your footing if you’re stepping close to the edge. As for pets, best to keep them in the car or on a lead—definitely not the spot for a game of fetch!
