I actually believe Mandu Mandu Gorge is a super underrated hike and it's perfect for a windy day when the beaches are a bit too wild. The loop is about 3km and takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on how much you stop to soak up the views (which, trust me, you’ll want to do a lot).
Here’s my tip: start by walking through the gorge itself. It’s shaded, peaceful, and you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into another world. Then, make your way up and over the ridge for epic views of the ocean on your way back to the carpark – such a stunning way to end the loop. Keep an eye out for rock wallabies; they’re sneaky little things, but you might just spot one perched on the cliffs.
After the hike, you’ve totally earned a refreshing dip at Turquoise Bay, which is just a short drive away. It’s the perfect way to cool off and reward yourself after tackling the trail!
