Rising from the floor of the Great Rift Valley is the extinct volcano of Mount Longonot.
A unique feature is the thick forest that lies within the crater of the mountain that you get to look down on once you reach the rim. The crater rim also provides great scenic views across the beautiful Rift Valley all the way to Lake Naivasha.

Note: The hike can easily be done without a guide. There is only one path that goes up. And it takes about 4-6 hours including hiking aorund the crater.
