You can make it into an overnight trip or even just an afternoon trip, depending on your other plans. It's the perfect place to visit if you're passing through Oslo to Gothenburg.

If you're interested in old manors and have always wanted to stay in one, Thorskogs Slott is perfect for that. They have daily guided tours of the property and certain rooms may or may not be haunted.. maybe yours will be one of them! The breakfast buffet is delicious as is the three course dinner. They are dietary friendly and can specialize your meal based on your dietary needs, just confirm ahead of your stay.

One of the biggest antique stores is in the middle of Lilla Edet and is so much fun to explore. Johan Engbergs Antik has multiple buildings to hold its many vintage finds, and there is something for everyone.

For lunch, make sure you stop at Cafe Gläntebo, which is located inside an old house dating back to 1850. It offers a really quaint atmosphere and has delicious waffles, among other things.

Note that this cafe is only open in the summer, so please check their social media for opening hours. It is in a town called Ljungskile, just a 20 minute drive past the antique store.
