Reinaknuten, a 6.3 mile out-and-back near Tau in Rogaland, Norway is a moderately challenging hike between wooded pathways and rocky terrain that usually takes 3 h 52 min to complete. Although a popular spot for birding and hiking, it still maintains an air of solitude. The climb up Reinaknuten itself is a steady and gentle ascent with some steep sections offering spectacular views of Lake Tysdalsvatnet over Holtaheia and Årdal. Along the way, hikers can take part in wildflower spotting, wildlife watching, and visit various small lakes. At the top of Reinaknuten, there’s unbeatable 360 degree views of the mountain ranges that surround it.
