Viewpoint Snøhetta (Tverrfjellhytta) is an observation pavilion located on the outskirts of the Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella National Park, a place full of rich cultural history and home to Europe's last wild reindeer herds. The pavilion has a weathered wooden exterior and an interior shaped like rock or ice eroded by natural forces. It provides shelter for visitors to appreciate the spectacular landscape, and a 1.5-kilometer long hiking trail leads up to the site from the car parking. Combining modern technology with traditional craftsmanship, Viewpoint Snøhetta was designed to promote a sense of being in one with nature while preserving historical context and protecting the environment.
