Holmenkollbakken is a ski jumping hill located at Holmenkollen in Oslo, Norway. It has the capacity to accommodate 70,000 spectators. Ever since 1892, it has hosted the Holmenkollen Ski Festival, part of the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup and the FIS Nordic Combined World Cup since 1980. The hill has also played host to historic events such as the 1952 Winter Olympics and the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in 1930, 1966, 1982 and 2011. Holmenkollen has seen 19 renovations since its opening, with upgrades including building a stone take-off in 1910, constructing an in-run superstructure in 1914, erecting a second scaffold in the in-run in 1934 and running a complete renovation between 2008 and 2010. It is a popular venue that brings energy and fun to Oslo annually, allowing visitors to be immersed in a world of skiing and snow sports.
