Vøringsfossen is one of Norway's most spectacular attractions. Located in the Måbødalen valley, the waterfall plunges a staggering 182 meters down from the Hardangervidda plateau. Visitors can take in the majestic view of the falls from both the nearby Fossli Hotel, as well as the newly constructed step bridge crossing the river above the falls. Hikers who have the adventurous spirit can even attempt the path through the canyon to fully appreciate the force and power of Vøringsfossen. In the winter, travelers can see the partially or entirely frozen waterfall. Be sure to don some warm and weatherproof clothing and shoes before exploring this wild and wonderful landscape.
