The Drammen Spiral, near Drammen, Norway, is a unique tunnel that will take visitors on an unforgettable journey. Built in 1961, the 1,650-meter (5,410-ft) long tunnel has six rising circles in the same style as a multi-storey parking lot. At an elevation of 600 feet (180 m) above Drammen, it opens at the summit of Skansen Ridge, where visitors can enjoy parking facilities and a cafe. For an extra special experience, visitors can try out the changing coloured lighting which creates an even bigger tourist attraction. The tunnel was officially reopened on Dec 12 2020 after an extensive 10 million euro refurbishment, that also included numerous structural and safety improvements.
