Lower Calf Creek Falls is an amazing sight to behold. Located in the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, this waterfall is 126 feet tall and the water appears to almost radiate in its clarity. The 6-mile out-and-back hike is relatively flat and the trailhead is located just off of Utah Scenic Byway 12. During summertime, especially on weekends, the area can resemble a waterpark with families swimming in the pool at the base of the falls. Along the way, hikers will pass several points of interest, such as two granaries, beaver dams, and a mighty pictograph on the wall opposite the canyon. This hike is perfect for everyone, from kids to adults, offering activities that everybody can enjoy.
