Mihály Kolodko's mini sculptures are a delight for the eyes, and hidden throughout Budapest is a tiny bronze statue of King Franz Joseph I. The Austrian Emperor and King of Hungary in the 19th century lies perched atop the Liberty Bridge with a majestic view of the city. This sculpture, created by the "guerilla sculptor" Mihály Kolodko, is just one of many found around Budapest and each has its own unique back story. Kolodko's miniature sculptures are usually no bigger than a clenched fist, which makes them challenge to find, but part of the fun is searching for them. Whether it's the Kermit the Frog near Szabadsag Square, the Russian warship on display at Clark Adam Quay or any of the other creations scattered around, his playful bronze sculptures always bring a smile.
