Located in Southern Spain, Gibraltar's main attraction is its famous Rock. "The Rock" stands at 426 meters tall and can be reached by a cable car or an old-fashioned funicular railway for those seeking more of an experience climbing to the top. It's home to a nature reserve where visitors can get up close with wild macaques, official residents of the British territory since the 1700s. The Gibraltar Museum houses many historic relics including the underhundren thousand year old remains of a Neanderthal woman. Travelers can't miss the Trafalgar Cemetery, a final resting place for a few of Britain's heroes from the navy. There are also historical tunnels carved into the mountain centuries ago by the locals as one of their main forms of defence during the Great Siege.
