The Teatro Antico di Taormina is an ancient Greek theatre located in Taormina, Sicily. Built in the third century BC, this historic site has a fascinating history and stunning architecture. With a diameter of 107 meters, it could accommodate around 10,000 spectators back in the day. What makes it unique is its curved cavea design, which sets it apart from other ancient theatres. Today, the theatre is still used as a venue for the annual arts festival Taormina Arte. It has also made appearances in popular culture, such as the film Mighty Aphrodite.
