This hotel is on the opposite side (east) of the Northern Alps range so it faces towards the ski resorts for some incredible views! It's a little more difficult to get to which (sometimes) makes it less crowded than other hot springs in the Hakuba area.
I would like you to set your expectations lower for the facilities here as they haven't been updated in a long time. But to me, that gives a little taste of the past era charm that Hakuba once has - as they are now transitioning to a more "luxury" ski area in Japan.
