Located in Iceland's Westfjords region, Skápadalur is a beautiful valley that is home to one of the country's most fascinating sights — an old, abandoned ship known as Garðar BA 64. Built in Norway in 1912, the Globe IV was eventually renamed Garðar BA 64 after being sold and moved around to different countries, ultimately becoming an Icelandic vessel used for fishing herring. After decades of dedicated service, it was deemed unsafe and run aground in the Skápadalur Valley in 1981. Now it sits as a rusting ruin, surrounded by gorgeous nature, beckoning tourists out for a visit and a few photographs!
