The Belvedere del Gianicolo in Rome is a spectacular sight to behold. Located on the right bank of the Tiber River, the terrace provides an incredible view of the Eternal City with its many monuments, from the Pantheon to the Altare della Patria. For something truly unique, don't miss the cannon firing at noon every day. A tradition initially desired by the Vatican and now established, a blank shot is fired from a World War I cannon placed just below the terrace at 12 noon sharp to mark the exact time. Come for the view, stay for the show! It's an experience you won't want to miss.
