Kuza Cave is located in Jambiani, a small village on the East Coast of Zanzibar. It was formed 250,000 years ago from rainwater eroding the limestone, creating a round sinkhole that reaches up to 50 meters wide. This underground oasis is home to an elephant-shaped natural rock sculpture that locals use as an altar to offer sacrifices. Kuza Cave offers an unforgettable experience for explorers of all levels of fitness. It leads to a refreshing pool of sweet water and provides great photographic opportunities for wildlife lovers. Activities at Kuza Cave include drumming and dancing lessons, cooking lessons with local ingredients and lunch, and entrance fee of $10 per person for non-citizens and free for kids under 6. A truly unique cultural experience awaits visitors who are willing to take the plunge.
