Turns out, mountain goats love a salty treat - something human urine (and sweat) is full of. Because they will paw and dig at fragile trails and plants the National Park Service asked hikers in this area to relieve themselves on large rocks instead. Looks like this 🐐 found some gold. šŸ™ˆšŸ˜

Mountain Goats are wild animals - you should always attempt to keep your distance and never approach them (people have died). As soon as I saw this guy approaching our camp, I moved away from where I’d been making tea. And shortly after this, I moved behind the rock wall designed to shelter us from the wind.
