While generally considered the "easiest" of the 46 Adirondack High Peaks, the hike up Cascade Mountain is no easy feat. However, you can rest assured that the 360 degree views at the summit makes the difficult climb well worth the effort.

This hike is a half-day hike. Do not attempt to hike Cascade Mountain without proper footwear and these hiking essentials.

Like many of the Adirondack High Peaks, the summit of Cascade Mountain is home to extremely fragile alpine vegetation. For this reason, it's important to always stay on the trail or bare rock only.

Have a little energy left over? Conquer another High Peak by climbing Porter Mountain, which is right next to Cascade (see the link below)

Note: Cascade Mountain is a very popular hike so parking fill up very quickly. If you can’t find parking, I recommend choosing a less popular hike nearby. Check out this list of Best Hikes Near Lake Placid for some back up options that are just as gorgeous!
