This is an enchanting park located in Ithaca, New York, in the Finger Lakes region.

Named after Robert Henry Treman, a Cornell University dean and philanthropist who donated the land, Robert H. Treman State Park covers more than a thousand acres and is known for its rugged gorge called Enfield Glen and stunning waterfalls.

Here's what you can expect when visiting Robert H. Treman State Park:

Hiking: The park offers approximately 9 miles of hiking trails. The main trail follows Enfield Glen, passing 12 waterfalls, including the 115-foot Lucifer Falls, which is one of the most spectacular sights in the park. The trails can be steep and challenging in places, but the views are rewarding.

Swimming: Endfield Falls is a popoular spot for swimming during the summer. However, swimming is only allowed when lifeguards are present.

Picnicking and Camping: Robert H. Treman State Park provides a number of picnic areas, some equipped with grills, and a campground with tent and trailer sites.

Nature and Wildlife: It's not uncommon to spot wildlife like deer, and in the spring and summer, the park is adorned with wildflowers.

Near the upper entrance of the park is the historic Old Mill, where you can see a waterwheel and learn about the history of the area. In the winter, parts of the park are open for activities like cross-country skiing.

It's important to note that the park's gorge trail is generally closed during winter months due to icy conditions.
