I had an Italian friend drag me to Trattoria da Tito one time when I casually mentioned that I wanted authentic Tuscan cuisine with an equally authentic overall dining experience. It’s strategically located in a calmer, less touristy part of the Florence city center, which is probably why we were surrounded by Italians and barely any tourists on the night we went. She wasn’t wrong – I’m literally only 2% Italian, but throughout the entire meal I felt as if I had been part of a big Italian family my whole life. The staff are cheerful, the food is authentic, and the atmosphere is warm. We finished off with a round of limoncello, which was a perfect way to end the night.

Kacie's Recommendation: If you have a large party (or a large stomach), I’d start off with the mixed platter of Tuscan appetizers. Honestly though, save room and get the Florentine Steak here – it’s amazing.
