Heisenji Hakusan Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in Katsuyama, Fukui Prefecture, Japan. Founded in 717 AD by a monk named Taichō, it was once a bustling religious city with 48 shrines and 36 temples. Despite facing destruction multiple times, the shrine's mossy gardens are now a National Place of Scenic Beauty. Visitors can enjoy its annual festival on April 20 and explore the historic site within Hakusan National Park.
