Fukuoka Tower is a 234-metre tall tower located in the Momochihama area of Fukuoka, Japan. Popularly nicknamed ‘Mirror Sail’ because it is covered with 8000 half-mirrors, giving it the appearance of a skyscraper, the tower provides breathtaking views of the surrounding area that can be enjoyed at its highest observation deck at 123 metres above the ground. Visitors to the tower can take in stunning sunsets, relax in the café/lounge deck at 120 metres and marvel at the 111 metre television mast that rises above the highest observation deck. The tower was designed by Nikken Sekkei and constructed on a reclaimed land out of Hakata Bay, taking 14 months to build. If you ever visit Fukuoka, this might just be the perfect spot to watch a magical sunset!
