A Guide Of My Go To "Supermarkets"
Unfortunately, in Siargao, you can't do all your grocery shopping in one place. Typically, it takes me at least 2-3 shops to get everything I need. Most shops around here are small 'Sari Sari' stores, and the local supermarkets all have equally limited stocks. For fresh produce, you will always find dedicated Fruits & Veggie Stalls.
TAG GROCERY: Tag is one of the bigger supermarkets in General Luna and my go to for dry foods, soy milk (rare product) and household essentials.
BARNA SUPPLIER: Barna is a fantastic little store filled with a variety of internationally imported foods, including Italian specialties, Frozen Acai Pure, cheeses, nuts, and an excellent selection of wines and spirits & much more.
GOOD GROCER: It's a very small specialty store offering a curated selection of healthy foods such as vegan milk alternatives, nuts etc. They are open from 2 PM - 10 PM.
PURE GOLD: Puregold is the biggest supermarket on the island with a 30min drive from General Luna stocked with mostly dry foods and other pantry foods. You won't find fresh produce here!
POINT 303 GROCERY STORE: Point 303 is another, (bigger) supermarket and convenient store stocked with dry foods, household essentials and a small selection of fruits & veggies.
GENERAL LUNA LOCAL MARKET: Either way, worth a visit! The General Luna Local Market is a bustling hub where locals and tourists alike can find a wide variety of fresh produce and local delicacies. From colorful fruits and vegetables to freshly caught seafood, this market has it all.
