These apps and websites will make your planning so much easier. It is a game-change for everybody visiting the British Columbia
AllTrails is the BEST app for searching hiking, biking and running trails in your area. It’s honestly an app we use all the time. It also has reviews, maps, length of hikes, elevation, etc!
Airbnb is a great way to experience a trip in a different way. If you don’t know of Airbnb, people across the country list their homes, apartments, private rooms, etc on the app for short & long term rent. We use this a lot on local and international trips, as it’s more affordable than hotels, and you can find a lot of unique stays!
Other than using Google Maps, we prefer to use MapsMe as it’s a great offline alternative. We recommend downloading areas of places you are planning to visit in WiFi. We primarily use this for hiking trails or driving directions when Google Maps sometimes fails us.
The booking.com app is one of the best apps for booking hotels last minute—they always have great deals! We choose the Booking.com app over others as it’s easy to use and most hotels are listed on there!
The Indigenous Tourism BC Trip Planner app is a great resource to plan and educate visitors coming to BC (and people who live here too!). Find authentic Indigenous experiences and businesses, learn common Indigenous words and phrases, and hear traditional songs, stories, and legends. A must download!
