Cathedral Lakes Provincial Park is a hidden gem in Keremeos near Osoyoos, BC. You are welcome to visit without a permit as the campground is first come first serve (as of now), but you can also book a cabin or room at Cathedral Lakes Lodge. If you are deciding to hike in, it is about 25 KM one way to the campground, depending on where you start the hike (as there are a few different entrances). Alternatively, if you book at the lodge, it covers meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner) and a roundtrip shuttle to the main lake which saves you 50+ KM of hiking. More information on their website below! This is our most favourite provincial park in BC we’ve visited, as it’s off the beaten path and not very well known!
Note: We recommend going in the Fall time as the Larches (yellow trees) are some of the best in the province! You can catch these beautiful colours in late September to early October.
