Castello Brown is a historic house museum perched high above the picturesque harbour of Portofino. It was originally used for military defence, then it was transformed into a comfortable villa by an English consul in the 19th century. Nowadays, the castle is a popular tourist attraction, offering stunning views over Portofino.
The castle offers the best view of Portofino and all the coastline. There is a small terrace that perfectly faces the town, and it's the perfect photo spot!
To visit the castle, there is an entrance fee of €5. There isn't much to see on the inside of the castle, but the views you have from here are surely worth the visit. There is also a small bar inside, which also has a beautiful view.
Bonus tip! If you're not going to eat at a restaurant or go inside a café, in the castle there's a toilet you can use.
