The Tempietto del Bramante is located within the courtyard of San Pietro in Montorio, the Spanish Academy building. Designed by Donato Bramante in 1502, this small circular chapel stands out due to its stunning reinterpretation of classical forms. Using the temple of Vesta at Tivoli as its main inspiration, Bramante created a structure surrounded by columns that was built in the Doric order. Its depth and elegance makes it one of the most renowned examples of High Renaissance architecture, delighting visitors with its harmonious combination of classical forms and modern design.

Most visitors enter the small temple through the main door, providing a view of what lies below. However, if you explore the area behind the temple, you'll discover a small window that allows you to peer inside, revealing an entirely different perspective with no one in sight. It offers a unique and intriguing insight into the space.

Open from Tuesday to Friday 10 am to 4 pm and Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 6 pm, but make the last entry is 30 minutes before closing time.
