Falls Creek and Clearwater Lake campgrounds are located very close to the end of the Wells Gray Corridor. This section of the Clearwater Valley Road is not paved, so keep that in mind when considering staying here.
These frontcountry provincial park campgrounds are situated right next to each other and are very similar. Of the two, I prefer Falls Creek as the sites are slightly more private and some of them have views of the river.
Both have access to nearby hiking trails to Osprey Falls, Clearwater Lake and the Chain Lake Meadows Trail.
There are 40 reservable campsites in each campground - they are more likely to book out in advance on weekends. There is more flexibility on weekdays. The campgrounds share basic coin-operated hot shower facilities. All toilets are outhouses only.
Reservations operate with a four month rolling calendar, make a booking via the BC Parks website.
