Hvítserkur, a majestic sea stack off the coast of North-West Iceland, stands tall at 15 meters and resembles a petrified troll according to local legend.

The monolith, half-white from nesting fulmars, is a popular tourist attraction and offers stunning views from both above and below. Saved from collapse by locals in 1955, Hvítserkur is a must-see natural wonder that captivates visitors with its unique shape and intriguing folklore.

Location: Hvítserkur is located on the eastern shore of the Vatnsnes Peninsula in the northwest of Iceland. It is about 197 kilometers (122 miles) northwest of Akureyri and 297 kilometers (185 miles) north of Reykjavik.

Accessibility: The rock formation can be reached by taking Route 711, a gravel road that circles the Vatnsnes Peninsula. There is a parking area near the site, and a short walk from the parking lot leads to viewpoints overlooking Hvítserkur.

Best Time to Visit: Hvítserkur can be visited year-round.

Parking: A small parking area is available near the viewpoint for Hvítserkur. From the parking lot, a short walk leads to the viewing areas.
