Brockhole on Windermere is a visitor center and tourist attraction managed by the Lake District National Park Authority. Located on the shores of Lake Windermere between Bowness-on-Windermere and Ambleside, it has 30 acres of grounds with formal gardens, a free adventure playground, and various paid activities like mini golf, kayaking and open water swimming. Originally a summer house built in 1896, it was later converted into the UK's first National Park Visitor Centre in 1969. This is a great stop for the family!
