The Coumshingaun Loop Walk is a picturesque and highly rewarding hike in the stunning Comeragh Mountains. The trail follows a clockwise route beginning and ending at Kilclooney Wood Car park, providing fantastic views of Coumshingaun Lough and the surrounding mountains. Along the route, hikers will need to navigate a few tricky sections including the climb up to the ‘castle’ viewpoint, as well as minor scrambling over rocks and crossing boggy uplands. The journey will take three to four hours, depending on pace, but it's definitely worth it for the unmatched views. Plus, the adventurous traveller is rewarded with plenty to do after the hike - from Mahon Falls and the Magic Road to food and drinks in Dungarvan!
