Plaza Lavalle is a green space in front of Teatro Colon and the Tribunales courthouse. It takes up of three city blocks. It has a rich history, with ties to important events like the Revolution of 1890.
There is a great playground here for families needing to let their kids have some playtime while sightseeing downtown. It is a favorite of my kids, I've spent a lot of time making them happy here so I can take them around the city as tourists with me. Win win.
The plaza features monuments, including a tribute to the victims of the AMIA terrorist attack in 1994 and a sculpture honoring the Ballet Nacional members who died in a plane crash.
