Joen and I took a scooter ride through Hòa Vang, a rural district nestled in the South Central Coast region of Da Nang. It’s a peaceful and picturesque place, covering an area of 708 square kilometers and home to around 201,070 people. The district is dotted with 11 charming rural communes, each offering a unique glimpse into Vietnamese countryside life.
As we rode through, we passed through places like Hòa Bắc and Hòa Tiến, enjoying the serene landscapes and the warm, friendly locals. Each commune has its own character, and it felt like we were exploring a different slice of Vietnam with every stop.
Fun fact: Hòa Vang is one of the few districts in Da Nang without an urban core, which means it retains its rural charm despite being close to the city!
