Kritsa is one of the oldest and richest in history villages in Crete. This village is built on the ruins of the ancient city of Lato.
It’s considered to be one of the few Cretan settlements that have never been deserted throughout the entire course of history. It’s exceptionally pretty and I believe you should definitely put it on your list for your Lassithi and Eastern Crete tour.
Visit the Herbs Museum, see the old loom, the Women’s Cooperative for fine, local products and roam around the alleys to explore the beautiful corners and get the best shots. Kritsa is quite close to the city of Agios Nikolaos, the major city in the region of Lassithi.
