This ice skating trail in the Lower Engadin is a unique experience, with a 3 km loop through the forest. It's located near Scuol, so it would be a good add-on if you are doing a ski holiday at the Scuol ski resort.
When temperatures reaching freezing, the ice track is prepared with machines. But the ice can be a bit rough because it's a wild track and not as uniform as a regular ice rink.
You pay an entrance fee to the use the track. You can rent ice skates on site. Helmets are required and the entrance fee includes one. But you may prefer to bring your own.
You can also rent a "ice skating helper" which is a small chair on rails that you can use for balance as you skate. A small child can sit on the chair and an adult can push them along the ice skating track.
Location: parking at Camping Sur En in Sent. Closest bus stop is Sent, Sur En Camping.
