Lago Bianco (literally "White Lake" in Italian) is an impressive reservoir located at the Bernina Pass in the Canton of Graubünden. Notable features of this lake include its two precursor lakes – Lago Bianco and Lago della Scala, two dams at the south and north ends, and beautiful surrounding views – comprised of the summit of the Bernina railway line - one of the highest mountain crossing railway lines in Europe. The Lago Bianco lake serves also as an integral part of the Val Poschiavo for its hydro-electric power supply.
