Bertinoro is a charming town in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. Located on the Mount Cesubeo, it has a rich history stretching back to the Iron Age, when a settlement was established nearby at Casticciano. This history was further highlighted by the presence of Emperor Frederick Barbarossa in Bertinoro's castle in 1177 and its change of name to Castrum Brittinori under Otto III. During more recent times the town hosts its famous Hospitality Festival every September to celebrate its hospitable traditions.
