This restaurant in Estreito de Câmara de Lobos is a hidden gem on Madeira Island, known for its authentic Madeiran cuisine and local atmosphere. It’s a bit off the beaten path, which makes it feel like a truly local experience. The restaurant specializes in traditional dishes like espetada (grilled beef on skewers), often served with homemade bolo do caco (a type of flatbread) and regional wine.
What really stands out here is the cozy, rustic setting and the warm, friendly service. It’s the kind of place where you feel at home, surrounded by locals. The views of the surrounding countryside add to the charm, making it a great spot to enjoy a hearty, local meal after exploring the area around Câmara de Lobos.
For sure it is one of my parents favourites and whenever they come to visit me, this is a must for poncha and espetada.
