The Meeran Jumma Mosque, also known as Galle Fort Mosque, is a historic mosque located within Galle Fort in Sri Lanka. Built in 1904 by Ahamed Haji Ismail, the two-storey mosque features a unique blend of Victorian and Baroque architectural styles with Islamic detailing. It is said to have been constructed on the site of a Portuguese catholic church, but some believe it may have been a mosque dating back to the 1750s. The mosque is named after Meeran Saheb of South India, who was considered the patron saint of sailors traveling to and from Sri Lanka.
