The Sagrada Família is an awe inspiring basilica located in Barcelona, Spain. Designed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, it began its long and ongoing construction journey in 1882 and is still yet to be completed. It is a magnificent display of Gothic revival, Art Nouveau and Modernista architecture. A stunning tribute to its designer, it is currently the largest unfininshed Catholic church in the world. The result of intense dedication and artistic skill, its building work has been deemed a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was even consecrated as a minor basilica by Pope Benedict XVI in 2010. Still looking to complete all elements of this iconic structure by as early as 2026, it's sure to remain a popular tourist attraction for decades to come.
