We honestly weren’t expecting much when we walked into Anzar—it looked like a humble little spot near the souks, but it ended up being one of our favorite meals in Marrakech. It’s one of those places where you sit down, take a bite, and look at each other like, “Wait… why is this food so good?”
We tried the grilled chicken skewers, kefta, and briouats, and everything was packed with flavor. The meat was juicy, the spices were on point, and even the simple side salads were super fresh and herby. Oh—and the mint tea here? Probably the best we had the whole trip.
If you're visiting, try coming outside peak hours. We went mid-afternoon and had the place almost to ourselves. It’s super affordable, the portions are generous, and the vibe is friendly and local. Definitely one of those "we’re coming back here next time" kind of spots.
